We welcome proposals for sessions at the 2026 Nebraska Water Conference. Held October 15 and 16 at the East Campus Union on the University of Nebraska - Lincoln campus, the conference will discuss The State of Water in Nebraska.
This conference will provide news and updates from state agencies, natural resources districts, cities, researchers, and the private sector to share current efforts in Nebraska’s wateruse and management.
If you’re interested in speaking during the conference breakout sessions, please fill out the form at go.unl.edu/2026WC. Breakout session talks are anticipated to be 15-20 minutes long and on the following topics:
- Organizational news and current events focused on water in Nebraska
- New research and programs in areas listed below
- Water quality and remediation
- Water use in agriculture
- Urban water planning
- Future water development for large water users
- Basin-wide management
- Drought forecasting and response
- Education and outreach
The Call for Proposals form will be open through July 27, 2026. Selected proposals will be notified by the end of July and will receive free conference registration.
