NU Water-Related Research Database

Water research will play a big part in learning better how to solve Nebraska's current and future water challenges. That is why the NU Nebraska Water Center aims to connect NU water researchers with policy makers and the public. This site is intended as a tool for legislators, government officials and constituents alike, to use as an easy way to keep track of water-related research NU faculty members are conducting, or to learn about NU water research that impacts each district. Here, you will find contact information for one or more of the researchers involved with listed projects, as well as links to more detailed information where appropriate.

Water Resources Advisory Panel (WRAP)

The WRAP is convened by Dr. Ronnie Green, NU Vice President and IANR Harlan Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Prem Paul, Vice Chancellor for Research and Dean of Graduate Studies, to represent a wide cross section of the water-decision making community and provide advice and guidance to NU on state water research needs, education, and outreach programs

Faculty and Staff Water-Related Grants

Approximately 10 years of faculty and staff grants are included in this database, which is updated regularly.

Nebraska Vadose Zone

The vadose zone is the interval between the crop root zone and the water table, and is a critically important region for storage, transport and transformation of chemicals that can impact groundwater quality. The Nebraska Vadose Zone program standardizes collection, processing, analysis, and sharing of vadose zone monitoring data. The Nebraska Vadose Zone website is a repository for historic and current monitoring data.
