The Nebraska Water Center’s (NWC) 2019-2020 Annual Report is now available online and in print. The 36-page report encapsulates two years of NWC research, extension and outreach, and teaching activities.

Among the report's highlights are updates from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Water Sciences Laboratory; NWC’s role in convening dialogue and action around reducing nitrate contamination; new research into stakeholder engagement for water stewardship; a summary of the NWC-led Know Your Well Project; and profiles of post-docs behind many of the center's research endeavors.

"The annual report is an excellent synopsis of our recent activities. I think readers will get a sense of how we work across university departments, with other educational institutions and with stakeholders across Nebraska - from the heads of state agencies to local FFA chapters - to better understand and manage our water resources," said NWC Director Dr. Chittaranjan Ray.

Established in 1964 by Congressional mandate, the NWC coordinates research and programs that support the University of Nebraska as an international leader in water research, extension and outreach, and teaching. NWC is part of the Robert B. Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute at the University of Nebraska.
