Bio Summary

Tong runs the WSL's triple quadrupole mass spectrometer and other trace level equipment. He performs analysis of water, soil, sediment, plant, and polar organic chemical integrative sampler (POCIS) samples for pharmaceuticals, illicit drugs, veterinary and human use antibiotics, per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), pesticides, insecticides, and degradation products using gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, high-performance liquid chromatography, and ultra-performance liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry.
