Ann Briggs

Bio Summary

Ann Briggs is the Public Relations and Engagement Coordinator for the Nebraska Water Center (NWC). Ann supervises the preparation of NWC communications and represents the NWC through multimedia, events, and partnerships. She joined the Nebraska Water Center June 20th.

Ann received a B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. Her undergraduate career focused on field research experiences, including working on an all-women team to conserve endangered shorebirds in Nebraska and living in a safari training camp in Botswana while researching elephants and hyenas. These experiences encouraged Ann to shift her focus to science communication in order to amplify the reach of natural resources research with experts in other fields and the general public.

Briggs received an M.S. in Human Dimensions of Natural Resources from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. She served as a graduate research assistant for the Nebraska Water Leaders Academy throughout grad school.

Ann Briggs grew up on a farm in central Nebraska and now lives in Lincoln. She enjoys traveling, baking, and spending time with her husband and dog.
