Staffers with the Nebraska legislature heard from DWFI and Nebraska Water Center directors and researchers October 30 at the Nebraska East Union. The morning also included a tour of the Water Sciences Laboratory, which has helped position the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and the Nebraska Water Center as an international leader in water research, teaching, extension & outreach since 1964. Since water is a key legislative issue, especially in Nebraska, the tour and presentations were designed to inform staffers on the work of the institute in Nebraska and globally and provide an opportunity for questions and insights.
