URGENT: USGS 104G 2019 Pre-Proposals
Very late announcement with short deadline of February 13th to NE Water Center
USGS has released the FY2019 104G RFP. Attached is the RFP. NOTE that all deadlines are firm for this RFP.
Any questions, please do not hesitate to ask and I will inquire with USGS as to the answer for you. Please know in advance that there will be no extension to the USGS deadlines regarding 104G.
FYI: Nebraska has been fortunate to receive 104G funding twice since 1999.
Attached is the official USGS 104G RFP announcement: Please read it very carefully! Pre-proposal guidelines can be found on Page 13, Attachment A of the RFP. The PI will need to include a 'Data Management Plan' with the full proposal if project is chosen. No "Data Management Plan" is needed for the pre-proposals. Similar to last year the Nebraska Water Center will gather the pre-proposals via email to email@example.com with subject line stating “USGS 104G Pre-Proposal Submission from “Name of PI” no later than Wednesday, February 13 at 2:00pm. Instead of emailing Nebraska’s individual pre-proposals to Dan Devlin and Earl Green Ne Water Center will be providing a ‘dropbox’ for our submissions from the University of Nebraska Institute.
Please remember the 104g is a two-step application process. The due date for PRE-PROPOSAL submission of applications by Principal Investigators is February 13th, 2019 to the Nebraska Water Center no later than 2:00pm CT. Thirty (30) pre-proposals will be invited by USGS to submit a full proposal application to grants.gov with a deadline of May 31st, 2019 via the PI’s Institute. If your proposal is chosen, you will be notified individually by USGS or via the Nebraska Water Center.
Any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
