Jake Schmitt

Bio Summary

Jake Schmitt is a Temporary Technician at the Water Sciences Laboratory, working specifically on a research project surrounding the AltEn plant in Mead, Nebraska. He is responsible for collecting samples in the field and completing the sample preparation in the laboratory. Currently, he prepares samples in water, soil, manure, and polar organic chemical integrative sampler (POCIS) matrices for the analysis of neonicotinoid compounds, the cluster of organic compounds of most concern for the project.

Schmitt received his B.S. in Chemistry at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
