UNL's 2009 Water Seminar Lectures
Introduction
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln's spring water seminar lectures begin January 14 and continue through April 16. The 14-lecture weekly series is offered each Wednesday, except March 19 during spring break, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. All but one of the lectures will be in the first floor auditorium of Hardin Hall, northeast corner of 33rd and Holdrege Sts., UNL East Campus. Lectures will examine a wide range of local to international water and climate change issues.
"This series of lectures is well-known for presenting a wide range of the latest research findings and credible information related to current water and climate change issues affecting Nebraska and the Great Plains," said seminar organizer and UNL Water Center assistant director Lorrie Benson. "One of our goals this spring is to expose attendees to some of the most provocative speakers on issues ranging from future water use policy here in the Great Plains to perspectives on international concerns over global climate change and drought policy," she said.
