Xianghua (Jenny) Lou Jenny performs analysis of water, soil, and sediment samples using inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (lCP-MS); assist in development of methods for stable isotope mass spectrometry, automated analyzers, and other standard analytical instrumentation; develop sample preparation and instrumental protocols, prepare samples, validate and assemble raw data packages for new and existing analytical methods for targeted elements; maintain lab equipment and assist in training for operation of equipment. Sathaporn (Tong) Onalong Tong prepares and analyzes water, animal tissue, and other specimens using autoanalyzers, ion chronmatography, spectrophotometry; and other standard instrumentation; receives and logs samples, and works closely with the laboratory director for scheduling and preparing and analyzing samples; trains students, interns, and new technicians at the facility, and supervises work conducted in the wet chemistry laboratory; helps prepare and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintains chemical inventory, and serves on the lab safety committee. Aaron Shultis Aaron provides expertise and oversight for high precision stable isotope analyses, leading development and application of methods for analyses of the isotopes of nitrogen, hydrogen, oxygen, and carbon of samples at natural abundance levels; operate, maintain, and repair 4 computer controlled isotope ratio mass spectrometers and associated sample preparation systems.
